The Ponty tavern is now painted in the modern battleship grey,the pub is next door to the Green Dragon,so not too far to walk.
Once inside there is a large dog legged shaped room,the front right area is raised and has bench seating and normal tables and chairs,the front left has tall tables and chairs and a few normal tables and chairs,the bar is on the mid left side,the rear area has bench seating to the left and a pool table and DJ gig to the right.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Hobgoblin,this went down well and was cheap.
TVs were showing horse racing,background music was playing.
Like most pubs in town,this one was very busy.
