Allegedly Ossett’s current brewery tap, a front and back room pub with a servery in a central section. Cosy kind of place with banquette seating, stoves and flag floors, much in Ossett’s mould with twists. Eight pumps with Ossett brews and a dangerous co-lab stout with Vault City the sour beer maestros. The three areas have different vibes, the front one is more an earthy lounge, the centre a boisterous taproom and there’s a quieter back room beyond which is more public bar like with darts and leads to an outside area. The toilets are off to the right hand side. Nice friendly down to earth pub.

Excellent brewery tap with seven Ossett beers on at the time of my visit. I went for Silver King, which was a bit lively and so not quite NBSS 4 for me. Still a very nice drink. The pub has three small rooms with the bar centrally placed. I'm not a huge fan of Ossett beers, but if I lived nearby I reckon I soon would be.

The Tap is a stone built pub that is a short walk from the middle of Ossett.
Once inside the main bar room is oblong shaped with the bar facing, the floor is bare boarded, there is some comfy looking leather bench seating to the left, but these were all taken up by football fans, there is another nice looking room to the right which is up a few steps, this room was also packed out,i stood at the bar and also noticed a real fire on the go.
The pub is an Ossett brewery tied house,i had a drink of Ossett Pale Gold which was quite a nice drink, the other beers i noted were Ossett Yorkshire Blonde /Silver King /Excelsior /Nervous Turkey, the guest beers i noted were Nottingham Rock Bitter,Rat Black Rat and Jennings Snecklifter.
This is a very pleasant pub with a good choice of real ales, just a shame it was so busy during my Saturday dinner visit.
