the white swan has recently changed hands and is owned by a private owner who owns to more pubs in the local area. we went recently for my sons birthday for a meal as they no do food, the service was excellent with your order taken at your table the menu isn't extensive but is well worth the visit the food was of excellent quality and quantity, my eldest son who is six foot tall and can eat for England had the Whitby plaice fish and chips with mushy peas and even he struggled finish his plateful I had the steak and mushroom pie with chips and three different lots of veg, the chips were large and plentiful and home cooked not the usual frozen rubbish you get in most pub chains. I had to leave some of my meal which is a rare event for me. my wife and other son had a burger from the grill menu which were also of excellent quantity and quality. there were several hand pulled beers on tap as well as several lagers smooth flow beers we had a pint of hand pulled which was of excellent quality and taste. we will certainly go back to this pub again sooner rather than later.

Use to go in this pub years ago when first started drink born in the area its just the same inside as it was 42 years ago nice old pub a proper pub met the land lord a few years ago when he had the Beaumont Arms. Said he had been in for a few months told me it was hard only just making ends meet its an Enterprize inns pub said he was only paying a £1 a week rent. The pub was nice and clean good car park its on a very busy road but the car park is good to get in and out because of the traffic lights. Had a good pint of Timothy Taylor's landlord this pub was very busy years ago still should be but its the sign of the times/
BUT WORTH A VISIT
