Bucking Fastard left this review about New Inn
A gastro pub where it is still possible just to pop in for a drink. The bar is to the rear of the pub and has three handpumps, with one reversed on my visit while the other two served well kept TT Landlord and a Copper Dragon brew. The drinking area is around the bar while the rest of the pub is open plan but still retaining seperate areas ,all tables set up for dining. The furniture is modern ,the decor smart but original features such as cornicing and fireplaces have been retained .The real draw here is the excellent food, from a sensibly short menu with a great early bird deal pre 7.30pm of two courses for £10.The chef can really cook ,chicken liver parfait and traditional fish and chips (plus mushy peas) were top restaurant quality .A la carte mains very reasonable between £8 -£12.There is discreet piped jazz, very fitting given the famous annual jazz festival held in Marsden.Thoroughly recommended for excellent food,I would definately visit again.
