We've been to Huddersfield many times, but had never called in here, this was a mistake on our part. A typical understated Sam's exterior opens up into a multi roomed, comfortable pub. The main area is straight ahead as you enter with rooms to left and right, the right hand one shares the L shaped bar with the main room. Glass cabinets to the left hand room and a real fire in the right hand one. Only the ubiquitous OBB available on cask, but it was in good nick and served by a friendly barmaid. We called in on a Sunday night when it was fairly quiet and as Al says, I quite liked it in here.

A Sam Smiths pub with all the beers that entails. Its a good old traditional place. Multi-aread and full of decent local characters. A glass cabinet in the room to the left of the bar contains a collection of beer bottles. I liked this pub.
