The Dusty Miller is the brewery tap for Milltown Brewery. It enjoys a fine location on a hill overlooking a valley, well to the west of Huddersfield town centre.
As with many of the local pubs in this area of West Yorkshire, weekday opening wasn't until 4pm. By the time I arrived close to 5pm, a few regulars had already gathered in the front right-hand corner of the open-plan bar. Timothy Taylor Landlord is a regular ale here, along with Milltown Platinum Blonde & Black Jack. Other Milltown beers on cask were On With The Motley & Weavers, along with a guest beer, which was Westgate 1906. Ciders were Weston's Rosie's Pig & Lilley's Gladiator.
I've wanted to visit here for quite a while, but have never quite made it this far out of Huddersfield before. My visit was well worth the effort and I wouldn't mind returning one day.
