Very much as described in the review from 12 years ago, there were three beers on at the time of my visit, with a bierklatsch blocking access to that side of the bar. Fortunately each pump is double clipped and can be seen from the other two sections of bar counter to the front and side: Timothy Taylor Boltmaker and Landlord, plus Bradfield Farmers Blonde. My half of Landlord was in decent condition (NBSS 3). This is a friendly community pub.

One smallish, carpeted room of a pub although at the front are the remains of a snug where there's a big screen and an interesting old map. There is an abundance of brass ornamentation, someone must spend a long time polishing it all, and a lot of RAF related pictures and artefacts. From the back windows there is a stunning view across the moors and in the middle of the room is a brass adorned post labelled “The Bullshit Post”. The central bar sits against one wall giving three serving faces, four handpumps with Tetleys, Timothy Taylors and Bradfield beers on sale line one side with keg founts on the others. Keen, friendly staff in a top notch village pub.
