A long low stone built pub on the bank of Hebden Water, one end was set up purely for dining. The right hand has the counter, four pulls Acorn, Taylors Landlord, St Austell Breakfast Club and one clip reversed. The quality was ok. A bit of a mish mash of styles in the floor treatments and furniture; sofas, low tables, banquettes with imitation wood upholstery. Lots of grey-greeny paint on the woodwork, but with cream plastered walls. There’s seating outside, piped music, screens and the mains sockets have USB ports. Not a bad pub but the beer is average.

A decent enough pub that backs onto the river Calder. We popped in here and found four handpumps, serving Green Mill Brewery Old Git, Caledonian Poltergeist, Exmoor Gold and Black Sheep. We all went for the Old Git, which was in good shape. The landlady wasn't too patient whilst we made up our minds, she didn't even offer any taster samples out. The pub attracts mainly locals, who by the looks of it, preferred the Carlsberg. I spoke to a couple of them and I found them friendly and welcoming, unlike the landlady. There was also a good number of people who had called in for a bit to eat, on our visit.

The Shoulder of Mutton is a decent looking stone built pub that is situated in the middle of Hebden Bridge where all the tourists congregate.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the bar faces on entry.
The floor is part stone and tiled, the seating is normal tables and chairs and bench seats.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Goose Eye Chinook which was a really nice drink, the other real ales were Exmoor Gold and Abbeydale Absolution.
Background music was playing and food was being served.
I was not so struck on this pub as some of the previous pubs i had been in.
