A good looking old pub alas it has no cask, there is however a decent Vaux lantern remaining above the door. Traditional furniture in the main with banquettes at modern tables sitting on a tartan carpet. Previously it would have been at least two front rooms but its knocked through into one longish one, there’s another room at the back with a pool table. Triple blighted with screens, machine and too loud piped music. Common or garden keg choice but weirdly it sells Whitbread Trophy made now I believe by Camerons. Decor is nautical pictures and a there’s a monkey lurking behind the counter. It has a large beer garden to the side under a large mural of a lifeboat.

As I was trying pubs on Hartlepool Headland, I called in here but there was no real ale so I didn't stay. It was popular and there was racing on the television. Outside seating in a garden area.
