A big, well appointed, stone building, the interior modernised and opened out from at least two rooms. The servery is fairly central with a collection of T-Bars and solos on the right. The area to the right has a juke box, DJ booth, dart board and screen, comfortable tables and chairs furnishing, the left side is more sparse with a pool table, another dart board and an L shaped banquette round one corner, a low table and stools takes up the other corner. A screen and machine are also available. Pretty typical town centre pub in all respects.

The Saville Arms is a large pub with U-shaped bar that supports a standard keg range alongside Birra Moretti. To the left of the bar is a pool table and to the right is seating. To the far right is an open area with speakers and a DJ booth for discos and karaoke. During my recent Tuesday evening visit there was some background music playing intermittently from the jukebox and the plasma screens found throughout were all off except one which was showing muted news. I didn’t spot any signs for live sports. There are security cameras everywhere, so I expect it gets a bot raucous in here at the weekend. The handful of locals at the bar where in good spirits, but friendly enough as was the service. Drink deals are available such as two-for-one cocktails on Friday and Saturday evenings. Food is not available.

as owner of this public house i can let you know contarary to previous comments we have now been open for three years (even though we were only given 3 month due to its bad reputation it USED to have)we have varied ages of clientell we have two of the local football teams playing from here we have various entertainment on and i think its fair to say we run it pretty well we still have people dubious because of the bad name it had all i can say is try it before you judge
