Real Ale Ray left this review about The Drop Inn
This pub is situated down a couple of side streets, surrounded by some commercial premises. The outside of the pub looks as though it's closed up and a bit tatty. However once through the doors you enter a welcoming and well kept pub, serving good beer. 7 handpumps, serving Goose Eye Chinook, Riverhead Black Moss Stout, Ossett White Rat x 2, Yorkshire Blonde x 2 and Silver King. We went for the Ossett Yorkshire Blonde, which was superb.

The Drop Inn is an Ossett run pub, so I wasn’t surprised to see their Silver King, Yorkshire Blonde and Yorkshire Brunette ales available alongside Ossett microbreweries Rat White Rat and Fernandes Hawklord. Also available were Burton Bridge Damn Dog and Donkeystone Brewing’s Bad Ass Blonde alongside a standard keg range and Birra Moretti. I didn’t note the presence of any food advertisements.
The pub interior consists of a tap room to the right with seating and bar access. The main bar area has a counter on the right wall which faces some seating and a brick arch which leads to more seating. There are no televisions, but some low background music was playing during my recent Tuesday night visit. There is a weekly quiz every Thursday. Out the back is a beer garden with picnics and a covered smoking area. Dogs are welcome in the garden and on leads in the pub.
It was very quiet in here, which surprised me as this is a decent pub well worthy of a visit.
