One room Cameron's pub with the bar in the centre, dart board at far end. One weak real ale on offer.

I found the Mill House to be much as described by Gill below, but unfortunately there was only one real ale on at the time of my visit, so it looks like it's not taken off to the extent hoped for. Camerons Strongarm was the sole beer on hand pump, and reasonably priced at £2.80 a pint.
It was pretty busy just before kick off, with a few away fans, including myself, mingling without trouble amongst the locals, who were happy to have a chat. Definitely one to include if going to the football.

Called in with my son who was attending the local football match and it was full of supporters with lively friendly banter among customers and staff. They had just installed a handpull for real ale as an experiment, and we enjoyed the Cameron's Strongarm despite it being a touch too cold. They were putting a different ale on over a 4 week period to see how well it sold. There was a TV screen showing an earlier football match in the one room, and the other room had a pool table and dart board.
The above was in September 13 and we visited yesterday and found that the real ale had gone down well enough that there were now 2 on offer. Cameron's Strongarm and Cameron's Castle Eden Ale. The Strongarm was great. Pub was full of Hartlepool supporters along with Carlisle supporters and the atmosphere was great. They are close to the football ground and always welcome both teams.
