Old Boots left this review about The Anchor Inn
A nice down to earth pub with two bars, a small Tap Room to the left and a larger Lounge to the right, they are the names on the doors. The lounge has been modernised in a club style with a suspended ceiling, banquette seating, varying wall treatments and a Jackson Pollock carpet. Two pulls in the tap and three in the lounge with an unexpected choice of Kirkstall Virtuous, Kirkstall Three Swords and more obviously Taylors Landlord, that ran off and was replaced with the less enticing Wainwright. All served, as some may say “as God intended” by Autovac equipped pumps. Coors, John Smith’s, Carling, San Migel, Madri and Guinness as a standard keg range, John Smith’s appears very popular in this area. Three screens, horses on one, footy on the other two. There’s a pool table in the tap room.
