October 2014. Party of 6 for 21st celebration. Pre-booked. We had an absolutely stunning night at this lovely and quaint public house. Part of the Chef & Brewer chain we felt that the menu was both traditional and extensive and everybody was able to find something they wanted (including the vegetarian). Food arrived promptly and was both excellent in quality and quantity. My wife had the lamb shoulder and it practically jumped off the bone and was just the way she liked it. Everybody commented that the food was excellent and this was echoed with the deserts. Prices were from circa £8 - £15 with deserts starting around the £4 mark. We had a bottle of wine which I felt was reasonably priced (for a pub) whilst the rest had soft drinks but the selection at the bar seemed comprehensive.
Service was good and the lass who looked after us did a fabulous job and made the whole evening a joyous celebration.
Will definitely call in again when next in the area.
