Classic basic pub, mix of furnishings, six pumps but just one pull running with a very good quality White Rat, although possibly not for much longer as demand is low. There’s basically two rooms, with a pool table at one end. Quite a contrast to Jeremy's across the road.

The Barge is situated across the road from the Calder.
Once inside there is a single E Shaped room with the bar to the front and facing inwards, the floor is bare boarded, there is bench seating and normal tables for seating, there is a small stage to the front left, the pool table is situated in the middle area, the TV was showing Rugby.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Partners Blonde which was a decent drink, the other beers were Partners triple Hop and Bath Ales Barnsey.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.

A large Victorian pub with 3 distinct areas inside. There's a lounge to the left as you enter, a pool room facing the bar and a further room to the right with a stage. Live music features several nights a week here. Lots of TV screens around the pub showing football & racing. Three handpumps on the bar. My pint of Naylors Mitis Mild was in very good nick. I didn't really warm to this pub as it was very quiet when most of the other pubs I visited were busy. I'd give it another go for the beer though.
