Old Boots left this review about The Railway Tavern
A Punch owned dining pub close to the site of the former railway station, hence the name and the locomotive sign, albeit a US style engine. Definitely more a restaurant with beer, every table was laid out with cutlery and place mats barring a tall table and some very low ones beside some leather furniture. Pretty much open plan, entering from station road there’s the leather armchairs and sofas on your right and the tall table plus tables at banquettes and the toilets to the left. The counter is ahead on the left with three pulls, Robinsons Dizzy Blonde, Ossett Butterley and of course Landlord on these plus a couple of T-bars of the usual suspects. Fairly average beers in average condition. Beyond that it’s restaurant, it has a half decent patio on the right.
