Requested be closed with reason - Other: The Hare and Hounds, Undercliffe has closed. It also closed last year. This evening as I passed some blinds are down, there were no lights on, and no furniture inside. There are no For Sale signs to indicate what might be happening. This could be the last time it closes as a pub.

Recently I walked past the building and they now have a large sign up to the effect that the building will be reopening as a furniture and carpet store - so that's the end of the Hare and Hounds.

This pub is still closed and has closed twice in the last couple of years, however a large extension has been added to the front of the building jutting into the car park. This suggests to me that it is taking the gastro-pub route more seriously and will be opening again in the not too distant future.
