Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Park View

This pub used to be called the Lamb and by all accounts was a bit rough. It sits on a roundabout on the edge of Worthing with a park opposite, which is presumably the inspiration for the pub's name. It is apparently community-owned and features in the most recent Good Beer Guide. We'd also ready some decent food reviews for the pub and had decided to book a table in advance for Sunday lunch.

The Sunday lunch itself did not disappoint. Indeed, most tables were reserved for lunch with very few people arriving for just a drink. Wooden floors can be found throughout what was a clean and welcoming environment. There is also a large garden area to the side of the pub.

The real ale selection was a little disappointing though, especially for a Good Beer Guide listed pub. Just 3 national beers were on offer - Proper Job, Landlord & 6X. I'd imagine it's the community-owned aspect of the pub that earns the pub its plaudits.

For beer, it is not worth making the trip out of the centre of Worthing for. Although, I'd gladly return for the food.
