The Ship Inn is a large Youngs pub that was half full during a recent Saturday afternoon visit when England were playing a Six Nations rugby match on the televisions. There are lots of seating areas, but to be honest it does feel a bit sterile. From the bar a premium keg selection was available alongside Neck Oil and all four hand pumps were off, which I found amazing during a Six Nations match that the pub was heavily advertising. The service was polite, but I’ve never been a huge Youngs fan, so I doubt I’ll ever return.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ship Inn
Substantial pub with various seating and dining areas, all given a smart semi-traditional refurbishment by Youngs in 2022. Also has a good number of tables out on a terraced beer garden. With three of the four handpumps in use, I found the expected Original plus the seasonal Winter Warmer (£5.60) along with Pilcrow Pale from Dorking as a guest (and a reversed Proper Job clip on the fourth handle).
