A supemarket has been given permission to demolish an historic pub and build a modern supermarket in its place.
At a Chichester District Council planning committee meeting today (January 8), councillors approved the plans for The Royal Oak in East Wittering.

Seems to go by two names, plastered across the frontage in large letters is "The Trundle Tree" but pub sign has "Royal Oak formerly the Trundle Tree in 1759"
Guess real name is Royal Oak, but if you were driving looking for it you would see Trundle Tree from road
