A traditional Fullers house with a fair bit of dark wood paneling, lots of large mirrors on the walls, the ceiling beams were coverd in bygone beermats with the likes of Flowers IPA, Burton Ale and Ushers among their number. Four Handpumps offered up Pride, HSB, Seafarers and Hophead.
A decent pub.

A backstreet pub which feels a bit like an hotel bar. Some nice dark woodwork gives a cosy traditional feel. Restaurant area off to the right hands side. There is one TV screen but it seems used for major sporting events only. Beers from the wider Fullers range. A few tables are outside on the pavement.

The Park Tavern is a good looking white fronted back street pub festooned with hanging baskets, appropriately named as it sits on the corner overlooking the pleasant green space of Priory Park.
Like the Westgate, it is a former Gales pub which converted to Fullers when the Chiswick brewer took over the Gales brewery, and of the two this one had a bit more character for me. The main door to the pub enters into the main lounge and dining area with the main bar area with impressive mirror at the front and the dining area to the back. But I favoured the smaller dark wood city bar with its own eclectic charm which can be entered by its own door to the left of the main door and from the main bar.
For my visit the usual Fullers house ales of Seafarers, Pride and HSB were on, but unfortunately the fourth pump which usually provides a guest ale was unclipped.
The HSB was a well-kept pint and I can think of a lot worse places than the few external tables on the pavement overlooking the park to have a beer.
