The Weald is set back from the street by a large lawn that I took as being public land and a big car park. The interior of the pub is split in two with a lounge bar to the right and a public bar to the left where there are two pool tables, two dartboards and a plasma screen that was switched off during a match. There was some background music playing which wasn’t too loud. The bar is stocked with standard draught products and the hand pumps were drawing Harvey’s Best and Doom Bar. A quiz was advertised, but no date or time was given.
This is a local pub for local people.
