Strongers . left this review about Friary Arms
There are three picnic tables outside the front of the Friary Arms and to the right is a large car park. Out the back is an advertised beer garden that I did not visit during my Saturday night visit. The right hand bar was empty so I made my way to the left hand side where there were a handful of locals at the bar. The Olympics was muted on the plasma screen and intermittent songs, such as the Housemartin’s Caravan of Love played from what I imagined was a jukebox in standby mode. A standard keg range was available from the bar that supports four hand pumps. One of these was unused so the cask options were GK Abbot Ale, Dartmoor Brewery’s Jail Ale and Old Rosie Cider.
I found the service to be friendly and the locals were polite. I would visit here again if in the area because I found this pub to be better than its immediate peers.
