Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wrottesley Arms
Substantial Marston's 1980s? pub / restaurant in the centre of the then-new Perton housing development. Part of the local shopping centre but also adjacent playing field and children's play area so it doesn't feel too urban. Nothing very notable about the L-shaped twin-bar interior, but the exterior landscape planting adds some interest to the otherwise dull outdoor seating area. Just Banks's Amber and Sunbeam (£3.60 with 10% Camra discount) available from the four handpumps on each part of the counter, but at least my beer was in great shape.

A detached Marston's pub/eatery with patio area and a kid's play area in proximity. It is the second of the 1980s Perton estate pubs. It is a functional irregular shaped building, mainly in white brick, but with some of the ever popular coffee colour too. The interior has two rooms, separated by what seems to be a newish wood partition (judging by The Moster's excellent reviw below). The larger room is given over to dining, the other is a bar area, with a couple of pool tables, a dart board and a few TVs showing golf. This area was packed with the younger element, whereas the diners were of a more mature age. The decor is coffee, with red patterned wallpaper and the pictures were a mix of local and bistro style in the dining area, with music that was gentle. There are a few arty vases about, but the best feature is the wood surround fireplace.. The service was fine. I dind't eat so can't comment on that. Beer; usual tap stuff, with EPA, Ringwood Lovey Warne and Banks's Bitter and a decent MILD on handpull. It seemed like a nice community place - and one i was perfectly pleased to have visited for a swift half.

This is a Banks’s (Marston) owned local community pub built around the same time as the surrounding estate in the late 70’s early 80’s. The interior is open plan and L shaped bending round to the right if you enter from the car park, there is an L shaped bar counter along the right hand wall with a large cast iron fire place opposite on the left which looks much older than the building with a rather ornate dark wood mantle piece and large mirror, there were a couple of booths with fabric seats in this area and a large flat screen TV in the back left corner. The short part of the L shaped room in the back right corner of the building felt more like a bar area with brown leather bench seats, high tables and stools, a couple of leather arm chairs with two large flat screen TV’s, one at either end of the area, both were showing football on Sky sports. The décor consists of wood panel and various pastel colours with some abstract paintings and a couple of old photos on the walls. On the left of the building is a paved patio area with half a dozen picnic tables, there is also a massive children’s play area which I don’t think belongs to the pub but it’s conveniently placed for visiting families.
Regular ales are Banks’s Bitter and Mild with a single changing guest from the Marston’s portfolio such as Brakspear, Jennings, Ringwood or Wychwood beers. On this occasion it was Ringwood’s Old Thumper which was very nice, the guest hand pull is hidden in the bar area by a pillar at the corner of the L shaped bar counter.
A modern estate pub which is fairly decent, I don’t think it’s going to win any awards but it does its job well enough and the beer was ok if a bit limited. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit but it’s close to the supermarket and small shopping area if the wife feels the need to abandon me for a short while.
