Strongers . left this review about The Chindit
I stumbled into the Chindit on a recent Thursday evening during a comedy night, which was terrible and had me thinking that maybe I could hit the Black Country comedy circuit. I was quite happy in the empty right hand lounge bar, but the barman insisted that I shouldn’t sit on my own, so I was directed in to the left hand bar which was full. All the tables were taken so I ended up at a table with others at the back. After I’d finished my pint I had to wait until another set had finished before walking out past everyone via the front door again. I went to the toilets through what felt like a maze of corridors, and then I left, but not before accidently walking back into the comedy event before about turning. Staropramen was available alongside St Austell’s Proper Job and Howden’s Golden Glow alongside Tuck’s Tipple and Lilley’s Rhubarb ciders. It’s hard to judge a pub when an event is on, but I don’t think I’ll be going out of my way to revisit.

Hard to review - no one in the front bar and the lights off. I thought it was closed.
But the side door was ajar and there was life in the rear room - although I think 3 out of the 4 people present lived there.
They are proud of being cask mark accredited for 15 odd years continuously and they are in the good beer guide. HPA was in good condition.
Did feel like I had burst into someone's front room.
Need to come back when busier.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Chindit
Very traditional corner pub retaining two separate bars separated by a central servery - a plain room with limited seating and the darts area at the front and a smaller, more comfortable lounge at the back. Just a couple of Ossett beers on the five handpumps on each counter - Yorkshire Blonde and White Rat (£3.50), but this was in excellent shape.
