A detached 1930s styled Greene King Hungry Horse pub and eatery. It is predominantly in plain brick, with some cream render and green signage. The pub is in a mock-Tudor style from the front, with stone window trimming and brick stacks. The rear is a little more austere. There is a rear patio.
The interior is huge and i gave-up trying to navigate. I simply remained in the bar area and didn't see the dining area at all. The bar/lounge is also really laid out for food and has green and sand coloured walls, with cream ceiling and a half wood and half red patterned carpet. There is a side games area, which has a couple of pool tables and dart boards, which has red walls and a wood floor. There are TVs, which had sport on and loudish charty music. The walls had a mix of old photos, arty pictures and the dominating Wolverhampton livery bus, as pointed out by the Monster. The service was OK, the clientele weighted towards the kids, despite it being a family pub. They were on the pool tables as well as the kid's grabbing machine. I didnt eat, so i can't comment on that.
Beer; usual tap stuff with Abbot, GK IPA and a poor Spekky Hen on handpull
Not a great expeience. I left as the beer was poor, the smell of perfume overpowering and being totally unsure if there is actually anywhere within the place that is classed as a bar area for the over-18s (i would take over-8s).

This is a very large and impressive Victorian building that is owned by Green King under their Hungry Horse brand, therefore it leans mostly towards being a pub for family dining. Despite this there is a large public bar that is entered by the main entrance from Trysull Road, decor is modern with a small fire place on the left of the entrance and the bar opposite on the right, there are two large flat screen TV’s and several large photos and prints of old Wolverhampton town centre one of which is a 4 feet high canvas print of an old yellow and green Wolverhampton bus! At the back of the bar area on the left is a games room with two pool tables, a dart board, flat screen TV and sporting memorabilia such as old Wolves FC programmes displayed in glass cabinets.
At the back of the bar on the right is a door that leads to the dining area or a patio with tables and chairs and the car park, which are located behind the building. The dining area has its own bar counter and is divided up into a dozen or more booths some of which have their own individual TV’s! In the centre of the room is a huge free standing chimney breast with a double sided fire place made all the more impressive by the high Victorian ceilings and massive sandstone framed bay windows. This area is definitely child friendly as there are a couple of machines that dispense various toys!
Regular ales are Green King Abbot Ale, Old Speckled Hen and a changing guest beer from Green King’s nationwide portfolio.
This is a nice pub, which has been sensitively redecorated and I would recommend going here if you have a family and you are looking to have a reasonably priced meal or equally if you would like to watch a sporting event and have a drink with your mates.

This pub is a family friendly 'hungry horse' eatery. There is an outdoor play area. The food comes in HUGE portions, but they won't alaways cook your steak how you ask. Good value, and has real ales.
