The Saracens Head was a stand alone white painted pub that was situated on a bend in the road so the pubs frontage was slightly kinked.
Once inside the pub had two rooms that i noticed,i had a drink in a decent enough lounge that was fairly smart but a bit dowdy.
The pub was operating as a free house when i went in it and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Banks's bitter which was a decent drink the other beer was Worthington bitter which was on handpump.
This was a proper pub and it is a shame that it has now been pulled down.
