A small, detached, rather square looking part undressed brick and part white rendered pub
The interior once had two rooms and although there are still two entrances, the rooms have been knocked into one so you can walk all around the pub. There is a central serving bar area and one of the former rooms is now a games area, with a pool table (50p) and a dart board. The decor is white, with fake wall beams and a white ceiling. There is a tiled floor in the games area and the red leather seats are look freshley re-covered - well, they did until my mate played darts! There were a couple of TVs, the main area showing the racing, the one where we played darts was not on. The music was general and a decent level. There were some real ale certificates on the walls of the games area and some old photos of Willenhall and the pub in the other area, as well as a few bits of brasss ephemera. The service was friendly and they served bar snacks. The place was well attendend with what seemed like the regular local bunch - a proper local.
Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD as well as Everard's Sleigh Bell and Caledonian Escape Claus on handpull - both were fine, especially the Caledonian.
A great local pub, really enjoyed our stop off here and without a doubt will be back. Drop in if you like a real local feel to a place.
