This is a detached Victorian freehouse cottage-style pub, with beer garden. The pub is in cream render, with a dog-tooth cornice just visable. The interior has had its internal walls striiped out, so there is one open plan room, U-shaped around the bar. The room is in cream, with a white ceiling, moulded cornice, patterned carpet and two small, tiled fireplaces on either side of the room. There is a dart board and pool table at one end and a TV with general programmes on. There is green and red leather perimeter seating and the whole place looks tidy. There are old mirrors and circus plaques on the walls. The service was very friendly and a couple of locals dropped in as i was chatting away to the new management. Beer; no real ale, usual keg taps with a decent enough M&B MILD. A nice looking and friendly place, which is hoping to do music nights - it just lacks a real ale for my personal taste - but would happily drop by again.
