A group of us went to town on Saturday night for a friends Hen night. The place has been completely revamped and brought upto date! Entry was still free and the staff were very friendly. The music was great, the Dj's were approachable and on the ball. We had a fantastic time and will definitely make it a regular venue in town.

Barry Barcrest left this review about Pommy's Bar
After a brief run under the name Pommy's bar and all the trouble associated with the place including a stabbing outside it closed down and has been closed for a while. However it is now about to re-open under the name "The Lounge". The neon sign hange in the same place the old Tommy's Bar one did, only time will tell if this pub is any good as I fear it will take a lot of work to turn around it's bad reputation and the location doesn't put it somewhere you feel too safe being on a quite side street.

Soup Dragon left this review about Tommy's Bar
A detached brick build, with an low-level extension on the front in white.
The interior is open plan, L-shaped around a small bar. The decor mainly is white artex. There is a pool table. There are no real pictures or other decoration to speak of, the place is very functional. Service was OK, the clientele were mixed and friendly enough, as i knew someone in there.
Beer; all tap stuff, sadly the Banks's MILD wasn't on, so i ended up with Mansfield Smooth - no real ale.
As i say, its a basic and functional place.
