A large, detached half brick and half wood and white rendered pub, wih a nod to the Jacobean style
The interior had two rooms at least, but only the bar was open at my visit, which was in white and wood panel, with like a burnt orange coloured moulding on a french mustardy coloured ceiling, with a nice wood fire. The pictures were cartoons and prints. The was a dart board and large screen TV (not on on my visit). The service was fine, the clientele were a couple of older chaps in the corner, supping MILD, like me.
Beer; all tap stuff, no real ale - the Banks's MILD was decent enough.
The place feels like a locals kind of place, but the lack of real ale would mean that i wouldn't go out of my way to return
