This is an old pub by the canal that now houses a restaurant overlooking the lock. According to my OS map it is more in Dunsley than Kinver although it is only a short walk away from the edge of Kinver..
Inside it has wooden floors and a brick built bar with the restaurant area over to the left. The bar has six hand pumps which normally have two Locale beers from Kinver (Edge and Noble) and Enville (Ale and Ginger) plus two guests. On my visit the Noble wasn't on and the two guests were Otter Ale and Woodforde's Flagondry. I went for the Kinver Edge which was in very good condition but a bit pricey at £3.20 for this area. Having said that, it is a bit of a food orientated up-market sort of place. For me the Locale ale selection makes this one well worth a visit.

Very handy for a swift beer if you are working through the lock, and a quiet garden for gongoozling, the real ale is drawn from local microbreweries and usually features Enville and Kinver brews. On my trip all these were at the modest end of the ABV range,so we slipped down to the Bathams pub to get quaffing.Possibly more food orientated nowadays.

A large pub and eatery, an 18th century coaching inn with extensions, now in a pea-green colour and white. There is a large car-park and grounds over-looking the canal, where there is a beer garden.
The interior is a sort of U-shape around a central bar that faces you on entry through the main door at the front and the side door. The bar and the lounge are in red, white and wood panel, with a white ceiling and part wood floor, along with a brick fireplace. The restaurant area is at the back, but I didn’t go in there or eat, so I can’t comment on that. The place was decorated with jugs and other traditional ephemera, along with some old pictures of Kinver. The service was very friendly and the clientele small, but it was a Monday evening. The music was quiet and mixed and the TV wasn’t on. I think there was a dart board, but failed to note it properly.
Beer; usual tap stuff, with Enville Ale, Kinver Edge and Kinver Cavegirl on handpull – all three were fine.
I have visited before and will do again. This is more than just a solid pub and really handy for the boaters on the canal
