The Unicorn has steps up to the entrance where the main bar can be accessed through to the left where an eclectic mix of keg is supported alongside Batham’s Mild, Bitter and XXX from the four hand pumps. The short serving counter faces prime seating in the front window, but more seating runs up the left-hand side of the pub to a tiled corridor with seating that runs across the rear to the tiled toilets. Out the back is a paved beer garden that can be viewed through some stained glass windows. The service was polite, but I decided to give the cheese, onion and black pudding cobs a miss. Well worth a look.

Perfect Bathams Pub - Perfect Bitter and lovely ham sandwich with change from a fiver.
Nice beer garden which leads to parking around the back - if you can navigate the one way systems.
Perfect 10.

An excellent Batham's house this one, serving Batham's XXX, Batham's Bitter and a Mild. The pub was very busy on our Saturday afternoon visit, so the atmosphere was great. The pub has no music, gaming machines, so good conversation and good beer is the main emphasis here. They also serve some decent cobs and pies.
