Strongers . left this review about Kings Head Hotel
The Kings Head is an old Grade II listed coaching inn, however I didn’t spot any interesting features from yesteryear that have survived the makeover sledgehammer. The large L-shaped bar counter supports a standard and premium keg range. There are a couple of seating areas off the bar area to the right and at the rear there is a room with some tables down the left wall. This leads to a function room with separate bar at the rear and out the back is a picnic table lined AstroTurfed beer garden. According to a sign in the bar there are 11 en-suite bedrooms upstairs. This place is handy for the station, but there isn’t much seating considering the large footprint.
I left with the feeling that this pub is here for matchdays and for private functions. I’m not sure that I would ever visit here again other than for the reason of killing 20 minutes before my train arrived at the station over the road.
