Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Wharf Tavern
Unremarkable Greene King pub, located as the name would suggest beside the ? Canal passing through the centre of the village. Partly opened-out inside, but there are still various distinct seating and dining areas on each side of the bar (all with furniture and décor somewhere in between traditional and modern). Although three of the four handpumps were clipped for IPA, it turned out that only Abbot (£5.10) was available from the fourth.

Greene King pub with the definite feel of a chain pub, right down to the cameras in the car park and the machine on the bar to input your vehicle registration.
We arrived to find a few groups of people enjoying a meal and drinks on evenings out. Although there did seem to be a few people just there for a drink at the bar.
The pub is set on a couple of levels, with plenty of secluded areas to enjoy a meal. I hesitate to say "enjoy a drink", as my beer was far from enjoyable. Greene King IPA & Abbot are the regular beers. Guests were Greene King Ghangly Ghoul & St Austell Tribute. With Halloween just around the corner, the Ghangly Goul was my beer of choice, but was a real horror show! On the plus side, my son did enjoy the slice of cake he had spotted (for sale) on the bar and being a Greene King pub, I did at least get 10% off the Ghangly Goul.

Fairly large roadside inn on a main road through the village, opposite a McLaren car outlet suggesting a well to do area.
Pleasently decorated in purple and light green inside, there are diffent areas and levels around the bar. The menu looked good and most meals under £6, though I didn't eat here. A comfortable nice pub.
3 real ales, Courage Best and Directors, plus a guest (Brains SA on my visit).
Well worth trying.
