At the front of the Railway Inn is the small red tile floored Last Stop Bar that has banquettes along the rear wall, a U-shaped banquette by the front window and a short wooden serving counter in the right rear corner. It was empty in here during a recent midweek lunchtime visit, so I entered the wooden floored Railway Restaurant towards the rear where there were a few people dining. The green tiled, wooden topped serving counter up the right-hand wall supports premium keg options alongside Carling and Neck Oil. There are also three hand pumps that were drawing Doom Bar, TT Landlord and a nice half of Tring Brewery’s Side Pocket that I enjoyed with a pork bap (that was actually a crusty roll, lol), four large roast potatoes and a gravy boat for around £13, it was very good, but a lot for a lunchtime meal. The pub is smaller than the outside suggests, especially considering the large car park to the left, but there is a patio at the rear that backs onto a large grass covered area with a children’s play area, so I expect that it gets busy in here on a nice sunny day. I thought the service was polite and I would stop to eat here again, but I don’t think I’d just pop in for a beer because it is too food led.

Slightly optimistically named since it's a good ½-mile from Dorridge station and a bit beyond the built-up area so it's more of a country pub really. Internally, it retains a separate bar and lounge, the latter having a partly opened-out dining room beyond. Traditionally furnished and quite plainly decorated, with a good atmosphere early on a Wednesday evening. Also has a rear beer garden. Reasonably priced menu. Landlord, Courage Best (£3.60), Sharp's Sea Fury and Old Rosie cider available from the various handpumps on each counter.

Nice pub just on the edge of town (no more than 10 minute stroll from the train station). 3 ales on during my visit including the very local Gold Star from Silhill Brewery. Well worth a visit.
