Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Boot Inn
This is an (almost) canalside pub, although the waterway is obvious even from the part-patio / part-grassed rear beer garden. Before you get there, you find quite a traditional bar and smarter dining room separated by the central servery. Three cask beers on different small counters, with Doom Bar and Twin Coast from Sharp's plus the local Blonde Star from Silhill (cheaper than I expected at £4.00).

ORIGINAL REVIEW June 2015
Quite a small building which is mainly a restaurant with table service. You enter into the nominal drinking area with a bar split in two by a central pillar, with a total of three handpumps dispensing a mediocre line up of Purity UBU,Doom Bar and Wye Valley Butty Bach which didn't set the pulse racing. There are a few rustic tables and chairs,a fireplace ,exposed timbers and a low ceiling but the barman was lacking in customer friendly skills when I enquired about food service times in the restaurant which occupies the remainder of the modest interior.
With no seats available in the tap room, and nothing too exciting on the real ale front this was a short visit,so no comment about food quality.Although it's close to the Stratford on Avon Canal there are no waterside views. There are a couple of benches at the front of the building and a beer garden to the side, but I much prefer the sister pub ,The Crabmill in Preston Bagot for ambiance .
UPDATE
A much improved return visit,go right at the front door into a charming bar room which is designed for drinkers, while the rest of the premises are aimed at diners. It has a rustic feel, there are exposed beams and pew seating with scatter cushions and a tea light on each table. The muzak was gentle and added to the atmosphere. This is an old building which predates the canal which runs out of sight at the back of the pub,and there is a pub atmosphere in this room, popular with couples and with a warm welcome from behind the bar.Three ales on Sharp's Doom Bar and Atlantic together with Silhill Blonde Star (£4.90,NBSS 3). Not really a place for a session, and a pedestrian choice of ale on my trip, but you can feel comfortable just drinking here,a great improvement on my previous visits.

We in a fabulously wealthy area with all the sanitised fakery that anyone who's lived in Surrey will find depressingly familiar. A red Michelin sign on the door rubs your nose in it: a fearsome gastro affair with prices to match. It is usable as a pub, outside of mealtimes, though I almost turned tail when greeted with "how are we today" by some random uniformed halfwit as we entered.
It is split up into a couple of smallish rooms with all the beams and stuff, and a fire too, and would be reasonably atmospheric if there were any genuine people around. The saving grace is a nice garden.
Tired Purity Bunny Hop which might have been a bit better if the person serving it knew what they were doing. Walk on by, there are better choices around.
