A detached cream rendered pub, with patio and beer garden. It looks like a cottage-styled building flanked by extensions.
The interior is a straight open-plan room, with the serving bar opposite when you enter. The interior is modern, minimalist eve. It is in peppermint green and white, with white ceiling and carpet. A little fireplace sits at both ends of the pub and there is a wood dresser kind of thing as well, along with some twigs with lights on. There seems to be few tables, so it can't be accused of being cluttered. The art is bistro-ish; jazz and wine bottles. The service was fine and the clientele a few mature locals watching some general TV programme on a small TV behind the bar. The music was soft and mixed.
Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD and with Pardoe's Bumblehole and a decent Pardoes Rowley Rag on handpull.
The decor isn't to my personal taste, but it is different to the surrounding pubs and if you like modern and tidy this is worth a visit for you, especially as it has two real ales that seem to be kept well.
