Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bell & Bear

Fine heritage pub, plausibly claiming to be over 400 years old and the most historic building between Halesowen and Blackheath. As a former farmhouse, it is set back from the road by some distance, and being on sloping ground it's no surprise to find that there is a patio terrace with good views at the back. Partly opened-out out, but there are still five distinct seating / dining areas on three sides of the central servery. Good value, mid-range pub food menu, but cobs are also available at the bar. Not a bad selection from six of the seven handpumps either: Batham's Bitter, Wye Valley HPA, Holden's Golden Glow and Enville Ale (£3.40) plus a couple of ciders.

Very old cottage type pub set back from the main road.Good selection of ales and lots of people eating.Large garden and terrace at the back, with great views over the surrounding countryside.

Cottage style family pub. I have added some photos so (rather lazily) I won’t describe the interior. We visited early on a Friday afternoon and it was rather quiet (maybe the major roadworks outside didn’t help) so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. It was clean and tidy though and the service was pleasant enough.

The choice of real ales was Timothy Taylor Landlord, Sharp’s Doom Bar, Byatt’s Phoenix Gold, Enville Old Porter, Enville White and Enville Ginger.
