I hadn't been in here for about 15 years. It was a classic Banks's house when I last called. Fairly standard pub with nothing for the ale drinker. There was no-one behind the bar when I visited so one the few customers served me a bottle of Bud. There were more kids in the bar than adults with toys everywhere and plenty screaming and shouting. The mother of at least three of them was sat at the bar vaping! I don't object to children in pubs as a rule but this was unbearable to me! I'll stick to the Chop House over the road in future!

After years of being an anonymous local, this pub has just had a Marston's-makeover and now has a fine pictorial sign and flower displays!
