Decent back street local just off the main island. Cricket on the TV.
4 ales on - Church End Fallen Angel, Oakham Citra, Butty Bach and Hobson's Town Crier. I went for the Fallen Angel which was excellent.
Well worth a visit.

Nice pub with a friendly welcome. 6 handpumps with 4 on, Salopian Lemon Dream, Hobsons Town Crier, Enville Ginger and Oakham Citra. We went for the Town Crier, which was decent at £3.80 a pint. There's a lot of grey paintwork and on the walls in here, a bit gloomy but am sure it's nice with the fires going. Visited August 2025.

A pub that I not visited before but it seems that the pub closed in February 2023 and after receiving a refurb opened again in January this year. Still open plan so I would imagine that most things are still in the same place, except maybe the bar. Maybe someone local can give confirm. I read that real ale was the name of the game now with six hand pulls on the bar.A decent selection of mainly 'Midlands' beers ,but I tried the Abbeydale Deception which was in good nick. A good selection of cobs/buns/baps were available when I visited. Call there if you are in the area.
