Strongers . left this review about The Queens Cross
The Queens Cross is a rundown out-of-town pub that has no signage outside other than ‘bar’ above the left entrance and ‘lounge’ above the right. However, there is a Bank’s pub sign on the edge of the front car park that has the pub’s previous name of the Earl of Dudley Arms. During a recent Wednesday evening visit the lounge bar was closed so I spent my visit in the public bar listening to the young barmaid and a local chat about prison. Standard keg was available alongside Madri. After being served I took my half of piss and sat next to the coal fireplace found adjacent to seating that runs across the front windows. At the rear is a pool table and atop a table draped with the Jamaican flag was some DJ equipment. The service was polite, but this was the worst pub of the day so I’ll not be returning.

After losing it's licence in 2016 the future looked bleak for The Earl Of Dudley Arms. It always had a reputation as a "trouble" pub although I called in a few times with no issues! It has now been granted a licence again and has been renamed The Queens Cross. I look forward to popping in again!
