Strongers . left this review about The Philip Larkin
The Philip Larkin was pretty busy for a Monday afternoon, but I suppose most of the crowd had finished work a few years ago. The single square room has a carpeted front area with banquettes under the front windows. Two large supporting pillars with a beer shelf between separate standard seating to the left and high tables to the right. The serving counter that runs across the rear wall supports standard and premium keg alongside three hand pumps that were drawing London Pride, TT Landlord and GK Old Speckled Hen. Televisions throughout were airing muted cricket and tennis via Sky Sports while some 80s background music played. The service was polite, but there are better option close by.

Large corner pub which was quite busy when I called. Only Doom Bar on offer which was fine.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tudor Rose
A surprisingly uninviting Brewer's Tudor frontage, and not really that more exciting inside the medium-sized split-level bar due to the red / brown colour scheme and the plain furniture. On the plus side, there is a reasonably-priced pub food menu and two less-common real ales on handpump: Worthington Cask and St Austell Trelawny (£3.10).
