High scores on Tripadvisor for food. 4.5 out of 5. Good website that allows for easy table booking.
Four cask on - including Tribute and London Pride. Despite the cask marque plaque outside, this is not currently certified. Tribute was average.
Food and service were both excellent. Very friendly and efficient team of kids doing a fine job. Food, good value and high quality.

Difficult to date this one but my guess is it was the station hotel in the days before they closed all the local stops on the WCML. So a Victorian building, beams, fireplace and stuff inside. The main bar is to the front, then there are a couple of areas left and right up a few stairs, the right hand area set up for dining. But it is largely a traditional local pub, no posing tables and huge sofas, and none the worse for that. Marston's related beers on the pumps plus Tribute, which though attractively served was rather tired.
I'd be happy if this was my local.
