The Aardvark has a central U-shaped serving counter that supports standard and premium keg as well as a bank of six hand pumps. The pumps were being used to hold up advertisements for the large shot collection that is available, so no cask options. The large open plan interior has standard tables across the front windows and high tables up the right faces by banquettes that run under the right-hand windows. A large projector on the rear wall accompanies screens throughout that were supplying background music via MTV 90s. Sky and BT Sport are advertised so all football is shown. The service from the barman was friendly, but the walk over the main road from the city centre isn’t worth it.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Aardvark

Busy student pub, with an opened-out L-shaped layout within a corner building. Unfortunately, the anonymous, semi-modern furniture and decor don't live up to quite an interesting exterior. With six handpumps on the counter, I found Doom Bar, Bombardier, the seasonal Dirty Tackle and Purity's Pure UBU (£3.55, but sadly indifferent - too many real ales on?).
