This is a detached basic cottage styled pub, with patio area, on what was once Sun Street. It is a Victorian build, in a slightly garish yellow painted brick upper that has a moulded cornice, and a lower frontage in white and brown glazed brick with etched glass. The interior has a single room, once two, with the serving bar to the left. The decor is white artex and fake black beam, in an 80s way, with green leather bench seats and a red carpet. There is a brick fireplace. There is a TV, which had daytime stuff on and there was no music. The service was fine and the clientele local, and mixed. Prints of old paintings are on the walls. Beer; usual tap stuff, with Banks's and M&B MILD - the M&B was OK. No real ale. A bog standard locals pub - a nice environment, just sadly lacks a real ale for my personal taste.

Typical back street boozer, but a friendly enough place. Usual selection of lagers and cider, plus two smoothpours. Cobs, pasties and pork pies on sale.
