Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Village Inn

One of the leading Gay Village bars, and this looks well maintained both inside and out. Lots of events advertised, but the place was completely deserted on my brief Wednesday evening stop. Spangly decoration and a limited amount of modern furniture in and around the bar area. No real ale, and just three keg offerings - Carling (£3.10), Stella and Strongbow - from the various founts.

Gay-friendly pub and dancing bar, stripped wood floor, dark table/chairs/lighting, 1/2 dark wood panelling/1/2 painted walls. Modern fit out, large tellies for videos and effects.

There is outside seating at the front & rear.

No real ale.

A detached Victorian gay-friendly pub, formerly called the Roebuck in the 1880s. It once sttod amongst courtyard housing until these were swept away for industry. It has a patio area. The pub now it is in the heart of the gay quarter of Brum. It is in cream painted brick, with brown lintels. The lower pilastered frontage is in black. The interior is an L-shaped room with a stage area at one end. The decor is brick, coffee and wood panel, but it is quite dark inside, illuminated only by a glitter ball! Therer are no real pictures and the TV has adverts on. The music was charty stuuf. The service was fine, the clientele small. Beer, no real ale, just basic taps - i had a bitter shandy. Nothing for a real ale drinker.
