A strange pub, which is a mixture of modern, traditional and nightclub. Decor is based round shiny dark panelled wood, apart from the copper-fronted bar, with an interesting row of booths partitioned off opposite and a nice room behind. There is also an upstairs bar, although this was in use for a private function at time of visit. Ales on were two from Davenports and a rather superfluous Doom Bar. A bit unconventional but I quite liked the place.

Was not aware of this - it came up under its old name of Jekyll and Hide when I was playing with AI to recommend a pub crawl. Yep, its come to that on how I am getting my pubby inspiration these days, but it has taken me somewhere new :-)
A Davenports house - extremely neat inside, doing pub grub. It had three Davenports on Cask - which believe it or not for a brummie, I had never had. The gold was in fine condition, served in a dimpled jug but not going to get the pulse racing.
Very friendly staff.
A bit out the way, so its unlikely to be a regular haunt for me.

My first visit since the Davenport's takeover. Have to say I was impressed. 4 beers on and very friendly service. The IPA was excellent. Hope they make a go of it but it is off the beaten track so they can't rely on passing trade. Worth the short stroll for me!
