Slightly odd new entry in the 2025 GBG. The cask is from Everards and the Tiger was served colder than a slush puppy.
Although a traditional corner pub, its had a flash makeover and trading as a food place. Outdoor advertising claimed a roof terrace but this is shut from the start of October.
Notable for me bumping into the couple who are doing the Great British Pub Crawl which appears in my Facebook Timeline frequently. He picks a town and does all of the pubs within. A bit like our Alan used to.

A basic two roomed pub with a mixture of seating heights and styles. The internal colour scheme was not my cup of tea being a mix of Earl Grey, Burgundy and cream. The windows were leaded with a few stained panes throughout. Just a couple of Everad beers were available from the four handles on the bar, Tiger and Sunchaser, leaving one with a turned Beacon Hill clip , the other bare. It was temporarily cash only on my visit , luckily I had some on me. Only me in there on a Saturday lunchtime so hopefully it does have busier times. The pub itself is ok but I doubt I'd take a dedicated walk back here in the future.

October 2021 revisit
A minimalist facelift of an old pub, with bare light wood floorboards, plain furnishings and a lack of much decoration. This time I ventured through a door marked 'Smoke Room' at the back and found a covered area, presumably once a yard, with a small snug (not in use) and a larger games room. Still an Everards house, with Beacon Hill and Sunchaser of their own and the guest ale Slaughterhouse Space Trotter.
October 2016 original review
Best described as an old pub rebooted. Retains glasswork and some fittings, but augmented by a strange mix of French café and American diner furniture. Three Everards beers and a guest seemed in good condition though - Cask Marque listed.
