Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Balmoral
Modern(ish) estate pub on the edge of the Birmingham conurbation with a modest grassed beer garden at the front. Semi-open layout inside, with a pool table in the centre and small seating areas around the outside. There is also another bar beyond a second pool table that was not in use when I visited. Unsurprisingly, no real ale available from a pair of disused handpumps, so went for the Worthington's (£2.70).

This is a detached 1980s housing estate pub, with patio area. It is a featureless brown brick building with separate entrances for the Lounge (closed at my visit) and the Bar. The bar is slightly irregular in shape due to a side extension. It is in yellow and wood, with a yellow and beam ceiling. It has several TVs that were showing different sports and there is a jukebox although there was no music. Some old photos are on the walls and the seatin is a mix of recently recovered red bench and comfy chairs. It follows tradition by having a pool table and dart board, as well as a few games machines. The service was friendlt, as were a few of the locals that were in. Beer; Doombar was on - but at £1.50 a pint I thought it likely wasn't selling, so i had a shandy. There is M&B MILD. One for the locals, nothing really for the real ale fan.

Bernadette THurman left this review about The Balmoral
This pub is under new management. The new manager is Henry Thurman and he is working hard to make this a family friendly community local.
There is a pool table and a darts area. The beer is supplied from Oakwell Brewery based in Barnsley and is very competitively priced. Acorn lager is only £2 a pint.
